    The latest News

Today was a very interesting day.  I taught school in a school I attended over 30 years ago.  It was so funny being on the other side of the desk.

It felt really weird, being there as a teacher and seeing the things that had changed and the things that had not.  When I was there as a child we had some outside classrooms, they have added onto the building and these are gone.  However, the School Cafeteria was exactly as I remembered it and the school Auditorium where all the children have their lunch.  I didn't go down the hall towards the classrooms where I was, because I had no need to go down there.  However, when I left and found out where my dad was parked I could have, because it would have been quicker to exit that way.

Tomorrow will be even weirder.  I will be teaching in a school I went to just before I moved to England 28 years ago and then next Wednesday I will be teaching in the school I went to after Sky Ranch (where I was today) and before the school I am teaching at tomorrow.

I am really enjoying teaching the children. It doesn't seem to matter what age they are I haven't had any problems with any of them.  I don't know what it is.  Are the children here better behaved then those in England?  That is a question I can't answer because I haven't been with a group of children for more than one day and you can't base an answer to that type of question on one experience.

Apart from that I haven't heard anything recently about my financial settlement from England.  My mom is doing a lot better but she has to be careful of getting over confident.  I am doing great and loving being home.  The dogs are very settled and I am looking forward to the new one coming in late May or early June. He is going to be called Zeus.

That's wonderful - it's so good to hear you sounding so upbeat and with lots to look forward to!
